Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Noor Island ("the app") is a children's Quran memorization game made by KUDZO COMPUTER PROGRAMMING COMPANY LIMITED ("we", "us"), the maker of Quran Palace. You can contact us at support@quranpalace.com.

This policy explains what the app does with information. It is written for parents and guardians. The app is designed for children aged 6 to 11 and is used under a parent's or guardian's supervision.

2. The short version

We do not run ads. We do not track your child. We do not use analytics or advertising services. We do not ask for a name, an email address or an account. Your child's progress, settings and voice recordings stay on your device, and the recitation check runs on your device.

3. Information the app keeps on your device

Progress: which ayahs your child has learned, review dates, trees and buildings, Noor and seeds, stickers, decorations and the days they played.

Settings chosen by a parent: language, reciter, new ayahs per day, daily time limit, reminders.

Voice recordings: when your child records a recitation, the recording is saved on the device so a parent can listen to it. Recordings are not uploaded by us.

You can erase all of this at any time in the Parent area (Data), or by deleting the app. We cannot see it and cannot recover it.

4. Microphone and the recitation check

The app asks for microphone permission only when your child first records. The audio is used to check the recitation: a small model (Tilawi FastConformer, licence CC-BY-4.0) runs on the device and compares what was said with the ayah. The audio is not sent to us or to anyone else.

Automatic feedback can be wrong and does not replace a qualified teacher.

5. Information the app downloads

When your child plays an ayah, the app downloads the reciter's audio from public Quran audio services (cdn.islamic.network, verses.quran.com and api.quran.com) and keeps it on the device. These requests contain the surah and ayah being played and, as for any internet request, your device's IP address and basic technical details. They do not contain your child's name, recordings or progress.

The first time your child records, the app downloads the listening model (about 100 MB) from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). That request also reveals your IP address to that service.

These services have their own privacy policies and we do not control them.

6. Purchases

Subscriptions are bought by a parent inside the Parent area, behind a parental gate, through Apple App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment and tells the app whether a subscription is active. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Apple and Google privacy policies apply to the purchase.

7. Notifications

If a parent turns on the reminder, the app schedules notifications on the device using its own review dates. Nothing is sent from a server.

8. Children's privacy

Because we do not collect personal information from children, we do not create profiles, share data, sell data or show targeted advertising. The app contains no links to other websites for children, no chat, no social features and no in-app purchases that a child can complete without the parental gate.

If you believe we hold personal information about a child, contact us at support@quranpalace.com and we will delete it.

9. Security and retention

Data stays in the app's private storage on your device and is protected by the device's own security. We keep no copy, so there is nothing to retain on our side. Deleting the app deletes the data.

10. Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you or your child, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our servers. You control all data on your device. If you are in a region with data protection law (for example the EU/UK GDPR or the California CCPA) you may still contact us with any request at support@quranpalace.com.

11. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, if the change is important, tell parents inside the app before it applies.
